If you would like to ‘become a chair sponsor’ on our website, i.e. sponsor a chair online (hereinafter referred to as the ‘ordering process’), we require information such as your name, address, email address and any other personal data so that we can fulfil your order correctly and send you your order confirmation and donation confirmation. We will also ask you for the name you would like to appear on the plaque on your sponsor's chair in the Unter den Linden Opera House. You can also decide not to have your name on the plaque during the ordering process.
During the ordering process, you also have the option of agreeing to your name being mentioned as a chair sponsor on the Staatsoper website, on the chair sponsor website (www.nehmen-sie-platz.de) and in publications of the Staatsoper and the Förderverein. If you consent to being named on the websites and in publications of the Staatsoper, only your name will be passed on to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden - exclusively in this context. You can revoke your consent to being named on the aforementioned websites at any time. Please contact the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Staatsoper Unter den Linden e.V. for this purpose.
You will also be given the opportunity to upload your own text and photo for the website www.nehmen-sie-platz.de during the ordering process. We will use this data exclusively for the website and as part of the ‘Take a seat’ campaign. You have the option of having this data deleted from the website at any time. Please contact the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Staatsoper Unter den Linden e.V. for this purpose.
If you take out a category 1 or 2 chair sponsorship, you will receive a free trial membership of the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Staatsoper Unter den Linden for one year as a thank you. The data you provide during the ordering process will be stored, processed and used by the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Staatsoper Unter den Linden e.V. as part of this membership and passed on to the Staatsoper Unter den Linden for this purpose. You have the option of having this data deleted at any time. Please contact the Verein der Freunde und Förderer der Staatsoper Unter den Linden e.V. for this purpose.
If you make use of the services offered during the ordering process (subscribing to the newsletter, ordering information material), we will use the data you provide to provide this service. The newsletter is sent on our behalf by Brevo, ehemals Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin. For this purpose, we forward your details (name, e-mail address, subscription status) to Sendinblue GmbH. Sendinblue GmbH will not use your data for any other purpose. You can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time by clicking on the link in the newsletter you receive.

We will treat your data as strictly confidential and use it exclusively in connection with the purpose for which you have provided the data. The personal data you provide will only be processed and used for other purposes if you as the user have consented to this or if processing and use is permitted by law even without consent.
